how do you know what leads there? do you type things in google and see if you're there?

It's pretty straightforward ... I use SiteMeter for stats, and when it gives you a report, it tells you the page that linked to yours (called the referring page, FYI).

In this case, I weed out the Google ones, thinking it might make a good post, and they sure have. I crack myself up as I record how people find the blog.

My favorite? Type in "youth ministry pirate receipies" and for some reason, this site comes up on the 3rd page - for a while it was the #1 response. Haha - true story!
