Today starts the first day in a new season of ministry for our family - Kurt has asked me to fill in for the coming months as the interim high school pastor here at Saddleback Church. I met with the high school team once before the Christmas break, and this is the first weekend I'll be teaching our students. There are so many great volunteers and staff!
Most things should remain the same - I'm still doing the daily youth ministry blog, the SYM podcast and helping out with the Group Youth Ministry Conference next month. Should be fun!

So what happened to Shaun Blakeney? Wasn't he the High School Pastor?
I think you are going to do an awesome job! It also sounds like you are going to be quite busy, are you still doing the seminary thing? - At 1/02/2008, Unknown said...

Shaun accepted a great position at a church in Florida ... and I'm definitely taking a semester off seminary to focus on the new responsibilities.

That's awesome, dude. You'll do great. We're going to bring some students down to observe high school services in a few weeks. Should be fun.
