Dear Xbox 360 #2,

I still think you are amazing and won't stop telling people to buy one this holiday season, but I will sure miss you at my house over Christmas break.

Do those things have some kind of warranty?? I'm thinking about getting one... but I'm not looking forward to it dying and having to buy another... the first one is going to put me in debt enough...

They have a three year warranty now, so Microsoft will replace them. Wow ... this is your second one to die? Don't you lose all your downloaded content when it gets replaced? Man, I'd be cheesed. There have been a few times where my kids have left it on all night in the cabinet and I've woken up to it flashing a circle of death ... but it always just turns off and then comes back on when I hit the power button. I guess my day is coming ...

yeah, i am on number 5, now. you don't lose your content though matt, because of the hard drive. warranty is 3 years, but you can get the extended at best buy or somewhere similar for about $30. that way you can exchange it the same day it dies. to me, it was worth it.

Sad day. I went 2 months without mine and got it back in time for Halo 3. I have been playing so much recently I fear the red circle of death might return. I will be praying for your XBOX.

I just called over the weekend to send back my #2, and they're going to send me a #3. Even though it's only been 1.5 years, I'm still sold on it. Crazy.

Oh yeah, they'll send me a brand new one for free (thankfully) but it bums me out. Argh! :)

Do all of them come with a 3 year warranty? I got mine last year for my birthday and have had no issues, but I have heard of many people that have, and these comments worry me! I think I am going to go home and anoint mine with oil...as a precaution...in case their are any evil spirits that may hinder it down the road.

Wow! Xbox's receive prayer and oil anointment. I was thinking about getting one but I'll just get the PS3. Good luck with #3.

Dude. Having a broken 360 is better than a healthy PS3.

That's good... about the warranty... here I am thinking that maybe I shouldn't make this purchase. But if the 3 year warranty and the opp to extend it replaces it same day for something that, I'll be ponying up the extra for the warranty. That's good... too bad for the holidays for you, Josh.

Yeah, they upgraded the warranty to three years and extended it to xboxes that had already been sold so everyone is covered. : )

And Griff is right ... a broken 360 is better than a PS3 any day!
