15 Baptisms This Weekend

Every so often I get called upon to perform some baptisms for big church. One of the things that excites me the most is the thought and priviledge to be used at this significant point in someone's spiritual journey. Today I did 15 baptisms, and there were some amazing stories that surround them:
- A teenager who visited for the first time, accepted Christ and was baptized.
- A young woman who was raised in a Christian home but strayed far from her upbringing.
- A woman who was baptized as a baby, again after confirmation and tonight after salvation.
- A couple who was joining the church, but had never been baptized.
- A man who was the first in his family to ever be baptized.
- A woman who put off baptism for more than 20 years.
- A person who was waiting for family to be there for the holidays to be there for this moment.
