Take a Break

Wow. Apparently, my schedule of late is really catching up with me. We talked about this season as a family earlier this fall - the September 15 to October 15 window was one of the busiest and most random we have ever encountered. So, my body is now forcing me to slow down by being sick. Really sick, I might add.

When will I ever learn this basic lesson? Argh!

Hey man...sorry you are sick...sounds like it is time to implement that 72 hour rule, and take some time off with the family!!! Tell Doug you are choosing to cheat, because that's what matters most. =)

prayin for ya dude. and if u must puke, choose wisely where u puke. :)

i hear ya about the fall schedule. this weekend is our big fall outreach event, and once it's done, my life "might" enter some level of normalcy... after a personal ministry transition, doing some writing, challenges in our congregation, a trip to Europe and all its jetlag issues, working with couple hundred volunteers for the outreach, and a whole bunch of other things i can't even remember right now.

so yea, if i'm not careful, i'll be the one sick next week!

As to when you will ever learn? If you're like me ... never! Getting sick is the way God gets me to slow down. After all, the Psalmist does say he MAKES me lie down in green pastures ...

Feel better soon!

Hey Josh:
I'm praying that God will heal you quickly. That is really good quote from Pastor Mark Driscol is so true and so hard to follow cause we want to do some much for our students, fellow youth workers, families and the list goes on and on. However, if we don't take a break, our bodies will force us to take a break. It isn't just you that struggles with doing too much. I struggle with it too. So go play some Halo 3 and relax. God bless you.

Love in Christ

Gary
