Enjoyed a few hours in line today for the new Nemo Submarine ride at Disneyland. It was the first day the ride was open to the public, and the place was packed (it seemed like everybody and their mother was there). Some people waited up to 4 hours for the 15-minute ride, we clocked in at just over 2 and a 1/2.

Rating this ride through the eyes of my 4-year old, it gets a 10. Far less through mine but that's not the point anyway.

We all enjoyed the experience, and of course the journey is as much a part of the destination. Evidence is that we had an unofficial "Countdown to Nemo" going on in our house the last 100 days, and had so much fun waiting in line today as a family.

It just didn't feel timeless - this generation isn't going to talk about this one like the ride in that space previously. But, in the end, the kids loved it - and that's really all that matters, right?

...I've ridden that ride 3 times n my total wait time was about....maybe 15 min. max.....

I had like, 5 extra passes for people last week, Im sad I didn't know you and the fam wanted to ride the subs.

They were a dissapointment to me because all I've been hearing for the past couple weeks was "subs this, subs that..." and...it's a good ride, but nowhere near as good as the attention it's getting. Though, you're right...it is great for kids.

Oh well, at least Disney kind of kept a classic in the park instead of completely getting rid of it.

Here's some fun sub info for ya...the subs are the orriginal subs from back in the day that were built at the Todd Shipyard in San Pedro during 1958 & 1959. The orriginal sub voyage opened on June 6th(which is coincidentally the 15th anniversary of D-day.)

Next time you're at Disney you should stop by and say hi to me at work
