Youth Ministry Hats

SimplyJosh.com has now moved to DownloadYouthMinistry.com - follow this link to visit the new site with new posts everyday!

My friend Tony and I have an idea - and here's a little white board discussion we had after the normal work day was over. We were talking about the hats of a youth pastor, and came up with these (see image above, click it for full size). Can you think of more hats that a youth worker wears on a regular basis? If you would rather just see a list, here's what we've come up with so far:
Comment us some more if you would, maybe there's a new project/resource in there somewhere ...

I think you put the leg work into what I wish I could say to people all the time when they ask what I do al day:)
I think you really hit the nail on the head when you said publicist. I feel like I spend half of my time doing graphic design for some reason or another.

Our college went through a bit of research on this. We wanted to come up with as little main topics as possible, and then have sub-topics come from those... Here are our main topics...
Educator
Instructional Leader
Ad-Minister
Care Action Minister
Consultant
Researcher

there's a good 12 or so sub-catagories underneath each one of those 6 main topics that range from being a needs assesor, networker, to evangelist.

I can share the rest, but don't want to use the time if nobody is interested. This is good helpful stuff though. Thanks!

Superman!!!!

A Youth Pastor should be made of steel, indestructible, and have the strength to power through anything.

Watch out for the Kryptonite.

I like Batman better, but you get the idea.
