NBA Playoff Observations

Watching a bunch of TV being sick the end of this week ... saw like 6 NBA games. A few observations:
- Every segment has a sponsor - it's the "sponsor" replay camera and the "sponsor" recap and the "sponsor" half-time summary. I counted 11 sponsored segments in 1 game. Seriously?
- There are only 4 guys in the entire NBA that don't have a tattoo.
- People from former Soviet countries usually look like it.
- Detroit will argue with every foul called.
- Detroit will argue with every foul not called.
- Detroit will argue over anything.
- Basketball is quickly going the way of soccer - the "flop" is being perfected with each game.

Gotta agree for the most part. I don't like the NBA anymore. It's turned into the Street Cred' and Thug League. I miss the good ole days. I love college b-ball though. I still love my English soccer though. The US stinks compared to it.

As a man from Detroit, whenever you talk sports my blood pressure rises! Pistons in the Eastern Finals...Wings in the Western Finals...Tigers doing AMAZING...Lions...um nevermind the Lions...

See, people just get mad that Michigan can have so many great teams without having to have eight teams in each sport.
Who needs the Angels, Giants, Dodgers, Athletics, Padres, Lakers, Clippers, two sets of Kings, Ducks, Sharks, Chargers, 49ers, and Raiders?
No state needs that many teams...especially when you can have championship caliber teams in every sport minus pro football? Pistons...Eastern Conference finals berth five times in a row, not to mention that championship of theirs. Red Wings...3 Cups in the last decade, and ready to take down the Ducks to go for four! Tigers...well, everyone knows about the Tigers. And hey, though we may not mention the Lions, they're at least offering a little hope this season.
And lets not forget the WNBA...who won that championship last year? Oh right, the Detroit Shock. Who'd they beat? Oh...some team from California (Sacramento Monarchs)!
Sorry, Josh, but you folks in California are just bitter that your teams aren't as good as ours! -

Yeah, it counts for something...
PS: I don't know what the WNBA is either! On the other hand, we've got the champions, so it can't be too bad, right?
PSS: Even our college teams are good...after all, Grand Valley State just won the national Dodgeball championship...and you know how important Dodgeball is!
