Juts read about a youth ministry that is using paintball to encourage students in their faith. Cool stuff! Here's a clip from the Palm Beach Post:
JGWhile paintball may seem like an unusual way to spread the word of God, Goldberg said that it actually is a perfect place for kids to meet, have fun and learn the lessons that he wants to share.
"God gains glory in anything," Goldberg said. "And what better way to learn that than to come out and play with us?"
Goldberg said the paintball games started four years ago in the back yard at a friend's house with about six kids and has grown to a monthly gathering of between 50 and 70 kids on the second Saturday of every month at the church's future site in Loxahatchee.
"It's absolutely crazy, but it's a blast," he said. "We play all day. Around 11:30 we eat and share the love of God. Then we get back to the game."
A suggested donation of $10 covers the cost of food, drinks and air for the paintball guns.
