Tony Morgan is blogging the C3 conference this week, he just posted the highlights of the session with Ed Young and also excerpts from Craig Groschel's talk, too
- "When pride walks on the stage, God walks off."
- Who do you delegate to? People who can do things better than me. People who "get it." Here are the charactistics of those people: 1. They've gone through a conflict, 2. They have a strong track record relationally, 3. They need to be unselfish, and 4. They have to be a "why not" person.
- "The church is in the promotion business."
- Number one way to delegate is through staff meetings. That's where we ask the hard questions.
- "I have fought for an entrepreneurial spirit." I don't want to maintain. Don't worship the process.
- "We are in the people business."
- Why delegate? It's the catalyst for creativity. "For us to reach our potential, we have to delegate."
- We are in a marathon. We need margins in our life. We have to delegate.
