Scored a free 3-pack of tickets tonight to the Mighty Ducks game up in Anaheim. We had a blast, got there just as it was starting and watched Anaheim get pummeled. Nothing better than a dad and his boys and a night out to the ballgame.
While we were there, my kids learned several new things at the game:
- My kids now know the word "sucks" - as in, "the ref sucks."
- The learned how to fight each other from watching a fight on the ice. I was hit in the face 12 times while we sat there.
- My kids overheard a spirited debate from the drunk guys sitting behind us that quarteback Tom Brady is most likely gay.

I don't know what's happening to my Ducks though. Sorry you had to see a pitiful loss...and that your kids learned so much from the fans.
Side note: The team is no longer called the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim as of this season. They are now the Anaheim Ducks. Just FYI. -

"Sucks" about the Ducks. I'm a 'Canes fan myself - Carolina boy! Home of real BBQ and UNC! Ok, this is starting to sound like a some sports... thingy or whatever. So, go Jesus (and the tarheels).

It makes me sick to hear hockey, California, and North Carolina all in the same blog. Hockey belongs where it is cold... and no I don't mean 20 degrees cold, I mean -28 like it was yesterday in Minnesota!
I am a little bitter, but thats ok. My Wild are doing well this season. -

Don't have the kids yet, but I can't wait to take them to sporting events and find out what words they've learned from someone else.
I also find it interesting that 'sucks' varies in it's bad-wordness from person to person. I don't really like it all that much, but others think it's fantastic. (and way easier to say than 'horrible') -

hey man- i'm just wondering if it really counts as a 'ballgame' if there's never a ball involved?
although i will say, as much of a baseball fan as i am, hockey IS the best game to see live, ballgame or not. -
