JGA three-acre brush fire in O'Neill Regional Park was quickly contained Sunday night.
The blaze in an open area in south Orange County didn't threaten homes or cause injuries, said Capt. Stephen Miller, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority.
The fire was fully contained by 8:48 p.m., and firefighters were left cleaning up hotspots, Miller said.
After the fire authority received the call at 7:28 p.m., authorities sent 20 fire engines, brush and structure responders, water tankers and patrols to the area northeast of Rancho Santa Margarita.
"I love the way we stomp on 'em quick," Miller said. "The whole goal is to keep them small."
Miller said it was unclear how the fire started.
