Don't ask me how I know this, just believe the following words of wisdom.
Here's two stories you don't want to tell your young kids at bedtime. Your wife might not forgive you, and you might have to deal with professional counseling for years to come.
- The prophet Elisha being teased for being "bald" and the she-bears attacking and eventually killing the young boys who did the teasing. (2 Kings 2)
- The story of the wisdom of Solomon in the story where he offers to cut a child in half to settle an arguement between mothers. (1 Kings 3)

So what was the initial response from your kids following these stories?

Well, for one they now mention quietly, "that guy is bald" to me anytime someone with little or no hair is in the room. JG

I happen to be a big fan of the Elisha story and I use it every time I can to remind my students to stop commenting on my receding hairline. But little kids? Yeah, a little PG-13 for them.
