Doug Fields taught big church tonight here at Saddleback. It was an expositional study from the book of Genesis - the tough but beautiful story of Abraham and Issac. Really good stuff - continuing the series Worship from A to Z.
I think my favorite part of the night (aside from all of the spoof Newsweek humor) was the attention given to a strong parallel in the Bible - the potential sacrifice of Abraham's only son and God giving us His only Son Jesus. It really was an excellent presentation of the Gospel as clear as could be and an open opportunity for people to trust Christ as their Savior.
