Just coming off another great weekend here at the church. Fields taught week 2 of the Adventure Management series on the topic of busyness and time management. There were some great learnings and humor - it was an awesome service. Sarah Kelly was the guest musical artist this weekend, it was cool to meet her backstage, too.
So a great weekend, I think the part that spoke to me the most was on how busyness leads to a superficial faith and a compromise of morality. The grey areas become as inviting as black and white, and we fall or stay shallow. God, from the very beginning of creation, made us in need of a rest.
Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days a week are set apart for your daily duties and regular work, but the seventh day is a day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God….For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; then he rested on the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy. Exodus 20:8-11 (NLT)JG
